As I promised many of you - the new Balkan MIDI Pack, Vol. 3 has just arrived! This sample pack series was inspired by artists and music from my home region, the Balkans, including countries such as Albania, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Bosnia and beyond.
This time, I’ve taken a slightly different approach. Instead of offering random standalone lead melodies, I wanted to provide more developed musical ideas (a bit similar to my Balkan Pop series). So, many of the melodies are accompanied by matching chord progressions or background elements like drones and pads, while still keeping the solo instrument versions available for flexibility.
While the main focus is on the MIDI files (it is a MIDI pack, after all), I’ve once again included WAV loops. Some of you might prefer to drop a melody straight into your project, resample it, or simply use the WAVs as a quick way to preview ideas. Even if you plan to use the MIDI and swap out the instruments, browsing through the WAVs can help you get a feel for what might suit the melody best - maybe a flute, or perhaps a synth.
Overall, Balkan MIDI Pack, Vol. 3 includes around 60 lead melodies (60 MIDI files and 131 WAV files featuring full compositions, alternate versions, and solo instrument layers), 66 chord progressions (66 MIDI files, 60 WAV files, and 47 dry versions), and 20 bassline loops - each provided in both MIDI and WAV formats, and a few bonus loops. A total of 409 files, almost twice as much as the previous release!
It’s been a year since I began releasing my sample packs, and the support I’ve received from all of you has been truly overwhelming. I’m incredibly excited to see producers from around the world drawing inspiration from my work and using it to create more music. I genuinely believe this is more than just a "digital product", I see it as a piece of art - something for you to build upon or transform into something entirely new, exciting, and uniquely yours.
